Welcome to 2,500 acres of off-highway-vehicle paradise! Located between Kentucky Lake, the Woodlands Trace Highway and US 68/KY 80, this designated area known as Turkey Bay features 100 miles of primary, secondary and tertiary trails for folks of all skill. ATVs, OHVs, Jeeps, dirt bikes and any other off-road machine can spend a day or a weekend on these challenging trails.
Primary Trails are marked with the Yellow Blaze markers. These roads are great for beginners. Roads are maintained and offer a less-challenging riding experience. These are a great way to get acquainted with the trail system.
Secondary Trails are designated by Orange Blaze route markers. These trails are more narrow and challenging for those riders with a little more experience. Secondary trails serve as connectors between primary trails, as well.
Tertiary Trails are marked with Blue Blaze route markers. These are the most challenging and can be quite narrow. They also serve as connectors between both primary and secondary trails.
Remember - stay on the designated trails!
You can purchase a 1-3 day permit for $20 or an annual permit for $100. Primitive camping is also permitted at Turkey Bay with sites available for $12 per camping unit. 24-hour generator areas, chemical toilets and drinking water is available.
The trails are open for anyone who can legally operate an OHV between sunrise and sunset. Protective gear, including helmets, must be worn. A Turkey Trot area is available for kids.
